Our FacilitY
All of Metro South Gymnastics Academy's programs and activities are housed in the MSGA Training Center, our fully heated and air-conditioned, state-of-the-art gymnastics training facility. It was meticulously designed to maximize training capability and safety, while also maximizing FUN. MSGA offers specialized equipment for every age and ability of our students, from the 18-month-old You and Me student to the highest level competitive athletes on our teams. Check out pictures below!
Meet Our Staff
Owner & Head Coach Chad has been involved with gymnastics for over 20 years. After being ranked one of the country's best JO junior gymnasts, he went on to compete for Penn State. Chad became Team Captain and holds a Big Ten and two NCAA National Championship titles. He was a Nissen-Emery Award Nominee – Heisman Award equivalent in gymnastics. He was an Academic All-American, earning a degree in Recreation Management.
Owner & Girl's Meet Director After her JO successes, Laura competed for the Women's Gymnastics Team at Southern Ct. State University. Her athletic career culminated with her role as captain of SCSU. Laura is also an Academic All-American and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Exercise Science with certification in Physical Education. Laura has also coached numerous State and Regional champions. Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad, and their two children!
Gym Manager Scott is the gym manager at MSGA. His familiarity with gymnastics came from watching his sister, Laura, compete from a young age through college. Here to help and an avid fan of the MSGA competitive teams, Scott enjoys serving the MSGA family and introducing others to it! When not at the gym, Scott actively participates in his church, enjoys the outdoors, gardens and loves spending time with his wife, Marisa, and their four children.
Girls Rec Program Leader Kelsey Murphy has been coaching for over 10 years and has been at MSGA for 7 years. She has quickly progressed through the company to become the girls recreational program leader, Excel Gold team coach and the assistant manager of the gym. One of Kelsey’s biggest accomplishments thus far has been the start of the All Star Recreational gymnastics competition team. In her free time she enjoys competing in Crossfit and hanging out with her family and pup Libby!
Office Manager Eva Benson started working at MSGA at the front desk in 2017 while attending college at Bridgewater State University. She fell in love with the work she was doing here. Eva was a competitive gymnast for a few years in elementary and middle school before taking a break from the sport, but finding MSGA reminded her of the joy gymnastics brings people. Outside of work Eva is mama to her almost 3 year old Mason. Eva is also an avid crafter; She loves to crochet, paint, and draw.
Developmental Team Leader Nicole Brooks joined the MSGA team in June 2023. She started gymnastics at the age of 5 and was moved to a competitive team not long after. She continued for the next 11 years, making her way from level 4 to level 10 by the time she was 13 years old. When 17, she was offered an after school job by her head team coach and quickly found a passion for coaching. Outside of the gym, Nicole loves spending time with her husband Arthur and their two beautiful children.
Xcel Program Leader and Head Coach Holly Crotty has been coaching for our developmental Program since she started at MSGA. She started her gymnastics journey when she was 9 years old and quickly progressed through the competitive levels. She has been involved with coaching gymnastics for the past 27 years. Holly’s husband of 14 years, Matthew, and she are proud parents to daughter Lyla. Holly loves to spend time with family and friends, meditate, be outdoors, and work out.
Boys Rec Program Leader Dylan Delisme has been coaching at MSGA for over a year now. He enjoys making a positive impact with the students and athletes that he coaches. It is a very rewarding job and it keeps him moving. Dylan graduated from bridgewater state university with a bachelors degree in physical education and is a certified personal trainer at the ymca. He enjoys working out, reading comics and manga, watching anime, playing video games and hanging out with his family and friends.
Parkour & Freerunning Program Leader Once upon a time he was enrolled in the very classes he is now teaching! He loves to see his students learning new skills and incorporating them in their own style, as well as continuing his own training in pursuit of new skills!
The Training Center
Our original gym space, we opened this gym in the Fall of 2012 with a vision of inspiring kids' minds while building muscles with smiles and sweat. All of our programs and activities are housed in this 11,000 sq. ft. facility.
This space was and continues to be designed to best suit the skills and abilities of all of our students. With a large, vibrantly colored foam pit, tumble track and in-ground trampoline, this gym is an exciting place to learn, explore, and play. Designed with the safety of our students and athletes in mind, from the placement of each apparatus to the regular inspection and maintenance we perform, in this gym, student's curiosity will be peaked and passion for the sport will be fueled in a safe way!
With every women's and men's Olympic event, the training center has been constructed to best enable our athletes to train smartly and safely. If you've been to our facility before, you may not recognize it the next time, as we always have an eye for improving and maximizing the safety, cleanliness, fun, and efficiency of our gym spaces.
MSGA Training Center
While our facility is new and state-of-the-art, we feel that our staff will blow you away even more than the facility. We have every level of gymnastics coaching ability all the way from the elite-level to an unbeatable recreation and preschool staff. Our staff genuinely cares about each and every child that participates in our programs.
